Elizabeth Carlin

I have been a widow for 29 years. My children are: Mark Carlin, age 38, business owner, Janet Davis, age 31, manager with American Express, and Emily Marcus, age 29, Graphic Artist for the Standard Examiner.

I first served in the Weber County Party as the Volunteer Chairperson, county delegate, State delegate and Candidate for the State House of Representatives in 1982. I pulled 45% of the vote in the most Democratic legistative district in the State of Utah. The next several years I was the legistative chairwoman of that district # 9.

I moved from Utah in l986 due to employment and was not active in the party when I returned until requested by those withwhom I had worked earlier.

I have since been a county delegate, state delegate, precinct chairwoman, and secretary and vice chairwoman in district #11.

My professional experience has been:

Social Worker, Probation Officer, Child Welfare Worker, Secretary, Business Owner, Realtor, and School Special Education Teacher. Due to my experience, I am able to see mistakes and know how to get them corrected.
